Choosing Stainless Steel Wall Shelves
Wall shelves put empty wall space to work above prep tables, sinks and cooking lines, keeping spices, containers and small utensils within reach without cluttering the counter.
Before you order, decide
- Length: shelves are made to length, so measure the wall and note windows, switches and pipes.
- Depth and tiers: deeper shelves hold more but should not crowd the cook's head space.
- Solid or slatted: solid shelves catch spills; slatted or perforated shelves let utensils drain and dry.
- Load: heavy items need stronger brackets and fixing into a solid wall.
Near sinks and ranges, stainless steel shelves do not rust or peel like painted or wooden ones.
