Choosing a Chapati Puffer
In a canteen or mess, rotis are often the bottleneck. A chapati puffer unit pairs a large flat tawa, where rotis are part-cooked, with an open flame section where they puff up in seconds. One cook can turn out rotis far faster than on separate household tawas.
Before you order, decide
- Rotis per meal: tell us how many you serve per sitting, that decides tawa size and the number of puffing burners.
- Tawa thickness: a thicker tawa holds heat evenly and does not cool down when a batch goes on.
- Gas connection: LPG or PNG, with separate controls for the tawa and puffing burners.
- Workflow: place it next to the dough kneader and rolling table so the line runs in one direction.
A dough kneader and a chapati puffer together are usually the first upgrade we suggest for any canteen still making rotis by hand.
